Welcome. We here at The Latter Day Church of Christ wish all people well. We wish that all the people in the entire world find the light of Christ and that it may increase their quality of life. The Latter Day Church of Christ does not wish to fight any one who has different views of our Lord and Saviour or has different views of the Gospel of Christ. We want to be able to give every one the opportunity to listen to our message and make up their own mind with the help of the Holy Spirit to guide them. We want to achieve is understanding between all peoples. What we will not do however is put to the sword our beliefs in the process. We believe that we are the only true church upon the face of the earth, that we have been given divine instruction from on high to do this work and that we are Gods chosen people at this time to do this work.

It seems that however much we write on this blog site about how we as a religion are always willing to talk and listen to others and that we wish to foster in an atmosphere of love, others are just not willing to do that witch they proclaim to believe in. We can not force people to read our words and talk to us, but we do however wish those people to live up to their own articles of faith that they so dearly cling to. I believe unless I am mistaken that one of their articles of faith says “We claim the privilege of worshiping Almighty God according to the dictates of our own conscience, and allow all men the same privilege, let them worship how, where, or what they may” you may notice that at the end of this Article of faith they say that they “allow all men the same privilege, let them worship how, where, or what they may” so why are they so unwilling to do this? This is a question that is still awaiting an answer.

It has been an interesting week for the church. Since the 25th of this month our Prophet has been away in New York with his wife. We understand that they had a fantastic time and that they really enjoyed themselves. The Prophet had time to reflect on a number of issues while he was in New York. While he was there the Prophet was concerned at how much the world has turned form the good things of the Saviour. He said that although it was a great place to go and visit and there were a great many wonderful things to see he could not help notice that amid all this wonder mans love for his fellow brother and sister is lower than ever before. While he was in New York he saw men and women in Time Square collecting for the homeless they had big water containers on tables and they shouted out “Give whatever you can. Even a penny can buy a meal” while he heard these words he watched at how many people gave of their money and how many people walked on by. You can probably guess that the amount of people that walked by far out weighed those who gave. He says that he noticed that although it was very cold and those people might have been warmer in side doing something else they took the time to be on the streets of one of the world’s biggest and busiest cities to ask for money for the homeless. Truly they were giving us an example of the pure love of Christ. maybe we should all think upon our own actions and how we may better serve the Saviour.

I believe and I know that I speak for our prophet in saying this, that we all need to do more for those who have less and this is why we need to step up and give at the time of Tithing and Offering. We have a moral obligation as Christians and believers in the word of Christ to do more for our fellow brothers and sisters. I for one hope that we are nothing like those people that our prophet saw in New York and that we would be willing to give.

We are over joyed at having our prophet back within our midst and we are very pleased that he and his wife enjoyed their trip to New York. Now let us all press on in the work of the lord
