Be Not Troubled

Matthew 24:6-27

Over the past couple of weeks we have seen the most unusual events take place here in our own country events that have sparked people’s emotions and have coursed people to ask why, why are these things happening to us. We have experienced extremely bad weather for the summer which have resulted in floods, we have seen terrorism rear its ugly head again and because of those things we have experienced death. We live in a country that was set aside by God for the righteous a lot like the American continent. However we have broken the covenant that we made with God and now we are reaping what we have sown. The Book of Jeraneck speaks of the times we are living in, it say that “When this record shall come forth it will come forth in a time of great tribulation a time of great suffering for the people of this land, it will come forth at the very time when the Lord of heaven comes for the second time” It warns us that if we do not repent of what we have done and come back to the straight path of the Lord then our nation and our people will fall and be destroyed just as his people were. However we are told in the Bible to "be not troubled". Our Lord told us not to be troubled, because these are only the beginning of the birth of a new world led by God himself. See Matt. 24:8. I believe that God is warning not only the world but most important of all this nation. We have broken his covenant and we have gone away from him and these events are warnings designed to turn us to Him. But with all children who have rebelled and lost their way we are ignoring these signs and we are trying to pass them of as anything other than God sending us signs and warnings we would rather blame global warming and other phenomenon rather than admit that we have been unrighteous toward God. However what we are seeing and experiencing is just a prelude. The warnings are going to continue during the next few years, and they will build in intensity and ferocity.

We live in very troublesome and uncertain times. With all the worldwide disasters and wars, most people see a dark and fearful future and have no idea of their eternal destiny, people don't know which way to turn, people are lost and are asking why, why is all this happening to us. The reason they are asking these things is because they have lost their way they have sold themselves out to the world or to that which is easy, they have sold or lost their birth right and that is the gospel of Jesus Christ. We here at The Latter Day church of Jesus Christ are here to tell you that you wont get lasting help and hope form world leaders or even our own leaders here in the UK. The only person who can help you out of this is the Saviour Jesus Christ. It is his redeeming love that will be with you forever. We are as has been said already nearing the coming of the Saviour for the second time, but before that we will have to go through many more troubled times, are we ready to journey through them and stay the course? Do any of you now what that course is? To all those that don’t and to all those that want to find out then please come to us and we will show you the way. In the not to distant future we will be asked to sign up to things that the Bible forbids. We will be asked to lay down our liberty and freedom for the procurement of security for the nation. We must remember that we have been told that all these things will be asked of us not by God but by the world and therefore by the devil. God has told us what we are to do in these troubled and uncertain times. He has though modern day revelation told us that we are to be aloof form the world that we are to be ready to flee from the world and not to sacrifice our beliefs for a bowl of potage we must be ready to answer the call. Dark and troubled times lay ahead. The darkness has descended and will not be lifted for many years yet, of course during these dark times we may have a glimpse of light and may think that the worst has passed, this is not so for only the Lord will deliver us from this state of affairs. No amount of sealed bags of wheat will save you. It is up to us for the sake of our God and our Family's to nurture the light of the gospel and to be ready to defend what we believe in. No matter the consequence.

I think that you will find the following scripture to be of some comfort. It just shows that god is concerned for us so much so that he told ancient prophets about our day so that we may be able to be for warned. Read and take heed. We are always ready to stand ready and to answer any question that you might have. please call us.

Matthew 24: 6-27

6 And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.

7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.

8 All these are the beginning of sorrows.

9 Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name’s sake.

10 And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another.

11 And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.

12 And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.

13 But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.

14 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.

15 When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, whoso readeth, let him understand:

16 Then let them which be in Judea flee into the mountains:

17 Let him which is on the housetop not come down to take any thing out of his house:

18 Neither let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes.

19 And woe unto them that are with child and to them that give suck in those days!

20 But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the Sabbath day:

21 For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the

world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.

22 And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect’s sake those days shall be shortened.

23 Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not.

24 For there shall arise false Christ’s, and false prophets, and shall shew great

signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.

25 Behold, I have told you before.

26 Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it not.

27 For as the lightning cometh out of the beast, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
